How the Calculator Works
From file to finished part – in three steps.
Quote
Upload STL or STEP, choose material and print parameters – get an instant indicative price.
Manufacturing
After confirmation, manufacturing starts on calibrated industrial hardware – including a technical review of geometry and printability.
Shipping
Your part is carefully packaged and delivered to you via a shipping provider.

Recommendation: 3 lines for functional parts
The unit price drops with larger quantities – the price is recalculated automatically.
Discount code for current promotions – applied during calculation.
Indicative calculation from the VM · Binding quote after review by email
Your configuration and the file will be sent to us. You'll receive a non-binding quote by email.
The calculation is based on the selected parameters and represents a price indication. Binding quotes are sent by email after review of geometry, printability and material availability.
Which files can I upload?
Supported are .STL, .STEP and .STP up to 50 MB.
- STL – print-ready surface mesh; direct 3D preview in the browser possible.
- STEP / STP – CAD solid model; processed on the calculation engine.
Tip: make sure your model is watertight (fully closed) with no holes – this avoids print failures.
If your part is larger than 420 × 420 × 500 mm, split it into printable segments or contact us directly.
How do I choose the right material?
The material determines strength, temperature and chemical resistance, and the price.
Narrow it down using the filters. Detailed specifications for all materials are available in the Material Finder.
- PLA / PETG – affordable, ideal for prototypes, housings and fixtures.
- ASA / ABS – more weather- and temperature-resistant, for outdoor and engine-bay use.
- CF-/GF-reinforced – high stiffness and dimensional accuracy for functional parts.
Does the color affect the price?
No. The color choice is purely visual and has no effect on the price.
The standard colors available for the selected material are offered. Custom colors are available on request.
What do the quality parameters mean?
Nozzle size & layer height: finer means smoother surfaces, but longer print time and higher cost.
Wall lines – number of solid outer walls. More walls = a more stable part.
Infill – internal support structure. Higher infill = more strength, weight and material use.
What happens during slicing?
Your model is broken down into individual print layers (PrusaSlicer on our calculation engine). This yields the print time and material requirement – the basis of the price calculation.
The 3D preview shows your part: rotate with the mouse, zoom with the scroll wheel, and pan with ⇧ + drag.
How is the price made up?
- Material & machine cost from calculated print time and consumption.
- Volume tiers – the unit price automatically drops with larger quantities.
- Discount code – applied during current promotions.
- Shipping depending on the selected delivery option.
- VAT 19%.

Slicing & calculation on our own VM – no cloud, no third parties.
Your files never leave our network. No analysis by external services.
Weight, print time and price – indicative, calculable right after upload.
