Typical Applications

  • Durable functional parts for outdoor use
  • Parts requiring dimensional stability under humidity changes
  • Economical alternative to PET-CF with lower cosmetic requirements
  • Brackets and supports exposed to weather

Documents will be provided once a specific material is selected.

Material Profile

PET-GF uses glass fibers to reinforce a PET matrix. Compared to carbon-fiber variants (PET-CF), PET-GF is more economical and offers a lighter surface – at somewhat lower tensile strength and stiffness. PET’s low moisture absorption makes the material especially dimensionally stable under weather cycling.

PET-GF is the more economical choice when outdoor dimensional stability is the priority and the slightly higher stiffness of PET-CF isn’t required.
