Material Profile

PolyMax PLA proves that “standard” and “functional” don’t have to be contradictory. Polymaker’s proprietary PolyPlus™ technology modifies the PLA matrix at the molecular level to suppress crack formation – without degrading processability.

Why PolyMax Instead of Standard PLA?

PropertyStandard PLAPolyMax PLA
Impact strength (Izod)~2–4 kJ/m²~18–20 kJ/m²
Tensile strength~50 MPa~28 MPa

CertificationVariableISO 9001/14001, RoHS, REACH

Tensile strength is deliberately lower than standard PLA – the material yields before breaking (ductile behavior) instead of failing brittle.

Quality Assurance Through ISO Certification

Polymaker manufactures in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified facilities. That means: tight filament diameter tolerance (±0.03 mm), reproducible mechanical values and complete batch documentation. For us as a manufacturing service provider, this reproducibility is directly measurable in fewer print failures and more consistent part properties.
