Standard PLA is the most-printed FFF material worldwide – and the right entry point for models, prototypes and decorative parts without mechanical or thermal requirements. Quality varies strongly by manufacturer; for precision parts we recommend certified materials from our industrial database.
When Is Standard PLA the Right Choice?
- A display model shown only once
- A prototype for form and fit checking without load requirements
- Décor, exhibition pieces, props
- Teaching aids, school projects
For anything else – outdoor use, temperatures above 60 °C, mechanical load, food contact or documentation requirements – we use exclusively materials from our certified industrial database.
